Course quality is crucial for learner success and institutional effectiveness. This study proposes LoDiBi, an automated framework for early MOOC course quality prediction using learners’ behavioral data. LoDiBi integrates three core components: LOQCA for automatic course quality labeling, DeepIFSA to handle sparse and missing data with attention mechanisms combined with CutMix and contrastive learning, and BiLSTM to model temporal learning behaviors.
Experiments conducted on real-world MOOC datasets demonstrate that LoDiBi consistently outperforms existing methods, achieving high prediction accuracy and strong agreement with ground truth labels. The results confirm the effectiveness of LoDiBi as an early, scalable, and practical solution for automated course quality evaluation in large-scale online learning environments.
