MOC Volunteer Campaign: Serving the Community and Spreading UIT Values
The “VỮNG” phase of the MOC IX Volunteer Campaign has officially concluded, yet the spirit of service, responsibility, and community engagement demonstrated by UIT student volunteers continues to resonate strongly in Phu Tho Commune, Dong Thap Province—reflected in every completed project, every meaningful action, and in the hearts of local residents.
With youthful energy, dedication, and a strong sense of initiative, the MOC IX volunteers created a meaningful journey through a series of practical, community-oriented activities:
Infrastructure Development – Building for the Community
From repairing local health stations, roads, gates, and fences to painting playgrounds for children, each project embodied a strong sense of commitment and readiness to contribute to the common good. Though modest in scale, these works carried the responsibility and compassion of UIT youth.
Environmental Enhancement – The MOC Signature
Volunteers worked together to clean and clear public spaces, improve local living environments, and install environmental protection banners featuring the official MOC IX identity. These efforts contributed to creating a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable living space for the community.
Digital Transformation – Knowledge in Service of Society
The campaign’s service spirit was further demonstrated through digital support activities. UIT volunteers collaborated with local police forces to input and verify transportation data, helping improve administrative efficiency. In parallel, the program “Máy tính cũ - Tri thức mới” brought technology and learning opportunities closer to students in rural areas.
Social Welfare – Sharing Care and Compassion
Warm meals, thoughtful gifts, and sincere conversations helped build strong connections between the volunteers and local residents, reflecting UIT’s core values of empathy, sharing, and community service.
Youthful Melodies – Strengthening Bonds Through Service
The cultural night “Youthful Melodies” was not only a recreational activity but also a moment where solidarity, responsibility, and the vibrant spirit of youth among MOC IX volunteers were vividly celebrated.
While MOC IX has come to an end, the journey of community service by UIT students continues—through small yet persistent actions that collectively contribute to positive and lasting change for society.
