These technologies have the potential to significantly enhance many aspects of everyday life. However, realizing this vision will require meeting extremely demanding network requirements, including sub-millisecond communication latency, ultra-reliable transmissions, and data rates exceeding 100 Gb/s. In addition, exceptionally high levels of spectrum and energy efficiency, together with ubiquitous connectivity, will be essential to support the massive deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In this context, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Digital Twin (DT) paradigm have emerged as transformative technologies capable of addressing the stringent requirements of future 6G services. During this talk, we will discuss the potential of AI and DT, highlighting how their synergy can significantly contribute to the realization of next-generation 6G networks.About the Speaker:Dr. Antonino Masaracchia (Senior Member, IEEE) is a Lecturer in Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London. He received the Ph.D. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Palermo, Italy, in 2016. His Ph.D. studies were conducted in joint supervision with the Institute of Informatics and Telematics (IIT), National Research Council (CNR), Pisa, Italy. The findings from his Ph.D. research made significant contributions to the IIT’s involvement in the FP7 MOTO European Project.
