Trong khuôn khổ chuyến công tác tại Việt Nam, sáng hôm nay, ngày 19/12/2023, TS. Gerald Feldman và TS. Samer Bamansoor - Đại diện Đại học Thành phố Birmingham (BCU), Vương Quốc Anh đã đến thăm và làm việc tại Trường ĐH Công nghệ Thông tin.
Đoàn đã tham quan các khu vực học, tự học và nghiên cứu, sinh hoạt của sinh viên. Đồng thời, trong chuyến thăm này cũng diễn ra các buổi nói chuyện, gặp mặt thân tình giữa đại diện BCU và sinh viên, giảng viên phụ trách chương trình liên kết.
Chuyến thăm này không chỉ mở ra cơ hội phát triển cho các chương trình liên kết trong tương lai mà còn là dịp để mở rộng tầm nhìn, giao lưu văn hóa và xây dựng cơ sở cho mối quan hệ lâu dài giữa BCU và UIT. Chúng tôi hy vọng rằng sẽ có nhiều cơ hội hợp tác ở các bậc học song ngành, cao học và giao lưu tiếp theo trong tương lai.
Chương trình Liên kết giữa BCU và UIT chính thức tuyển sinh từ năm 2019 với 02 ngành: Ngành Khoa học Máy tính và Ngành Mạng máy tính & An toàn thông tin. Chương trình đào tạo 3,5 năm. Sinh viên có thể chọn học hoàn toàn tại Việt Nam hoặc chuyển tiếp giai đoạn 2 sang Vương Quốc Anh, trong đó, SV đều được BCU cấp bằng cử nhân. Đến năm 2023, chương trình liên kết này đã có sinh viên tốt nghiệp. Lễ tốt nghiệp sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 20/12/2023 tới đây.
During their business trip to Vietnam, this morning, on December 19, 2023, Prof. Gerald Feldman and Prof. Samer Bamansoor - Representatives of Birmingham City University (BCU), United Kingdom, visited and collaborated with University of Information Technology (UIT). The delegation explored various learning, self-study, and research areas, as well as the student activities at the university. Additionally, the visit included discussions and friendly meetings between BCU representatives and students, as well as the faculty responsible for the collaborative programs.
This visit not only creates opportunities for the development of future collaborative programs but also serves as an occasion to broaden perspectives, exchange cultures, and establish a foundation for a long-term relationship between BCU and UIT. We hope that there will be numerous collaboration opportunities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as further cultural exchanges in the future.
The official partnership program between BCU and UIT commenced its admissions in 2019, offering two majors: Computer Science and Computer Networks & Information Security. The program has a duration of 3.5 years. Students can choose to complete their studies entirely in Vietnam or proceed to stage 2 in the United Kingdom. In the latter case, BCU awards a bachelor's degree to students. By 2023, students have graduated from this partnership program, and the graduation ceremony is scheduled for December 20, 2023.
